Spotlight Local Scene

Spotlight Local Scene offers visitors to Tanzplattform Deutschland 2026 a window into Dresden's independent dance scene.

An installation of photographs, videos, and posters showcases local dance artists and their artistic styles. In close collaboration with the Landesverband der Freien Theater in Sachsen e.V. (State Association of Independent Theaters in Saxony), video clips from current touring productions by Saxon artists will be presented. The presentation invites visitors to discover the diversity, aesthetic positions, and independence of Dresden's dance scene.

TanzNetzDresden is a self-organizing network of the independent dance scene in Dresden. Formed by freelance dancers and choreographers, it has been actively contributing to the art and culture scene in the city of Dresden and its surroundings since 2010.
