TPD 2026

Awareness

As organisers of the Tanzplattform Deutschland 2026, we see awareness as the central foundation of our festival. We want to create a space in which encounters at eye level are possible.

We invite you to shape this space together with us: safely, respectfully and sensitised to discrimination. The Tanzplattform brings together people with different perspectives, backgrounds, experiences and identities. This togetherness is our strength - it needs our attention, our attitude and our respect.

We take a firm stance against:

  • Racism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, right-wing extremism
  • Sexism, queerophobia, trans- or inter-hostility
  • Ableism
  • Classism or other forms of structural discrimination
  • Bullying, abusive behaviour, derogatory language or hate speech

We encourage you to value diversity and take responsibility - for yourselves and for each other. This also means respecting boundaries, acting in solidarity when things go wrong and not looking the other way when someone needs support.

If these principles are violated, we reserve the right to take appropriate measures - up to and including exclusion from the event.

By participating in Tanzplattform Deutschland 2026, you recognise these principles. Thank you for your participation, your attentiveness - and for your contribution to days full of encounters, impulses and courageous perspectives.

If you observe or experience yourself that these principles are being violated, please report confidentially to the Welcome Desk in the Festival Centre, to the Awareness Team in the Quiet Room or directly to the Awareness Phone: +49 351 264 62 45.

Our awareness team is available during the entire opening hours of the Quiet Room and works confidentially and impartially for those affected.
